Director Dr.Kiyoko Nagao

Dr.Kiyoko Nagao passed the American Board of Orthodontics(II) and graduated from Boston University Orthodontics department, and has more than 20 years of clinical experience.

She was born and grew up in Nagoya, Japan. She became interested in medical field during high school for her future career, then decided to become a dentist.

Her father, Masaki Nagao, one of her good understanding person, advised her that “ Hey, Kiyoko. you need to study dentistry in order to help someone else. Don’t be a money-driven dentist.”

Therefore, she studied her entire 6 years of dental university, and received a couple of scholarships from the university. Upon graduation, she also received Nihon university dental award for her brilliant grades.

After graduation, she challenged herself to become an orthodontics specialist not only in Japan but whole world. She was accepted to Boston University where she completed a 3-year residency program in Orthodontics, and earned a Master of Science degree for her research in Oral Biology.

It was very tough time since her first language is Japanese. With the support of many friends and faculty members, she was able to complete this life-changing challenge successfully.

Now she enjoys working as an orthodontist, and would like lots of people to know that getting orthodontics allows people to smile with more confidence than they do ever before.
